I’ve always wanted to work in law enforcement. My role model is my uncle who worked in law enforcement for 20 years. I’d heard a lot of great things about the LAXPD from people who worked here, so I thought it would be a good opportunity.
I’ve been with the LAXPD for 10 years, and I am the department’s first Public Information Officer. My main responsibility is communicating with the media concerning any police-related events at LAX. It’s really an honor to be able to serve as the face and voice of the LAXPD.
One of the reasons I chose to work for the LAXPD is because it’s a small agency with lots of room for growth. There’s potential to work in so many different specialized units. One of the best things about this job is the variety it offers. Every day is different.
I love working at the airport. It’s like a city, and this job is all about protecting and serving that city. |
