Selection Process

8 Steps to a Bright Future!

MEDICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATIONS: While continuing with background investigations and the overall review process for each qualified candidate, the LAXPD will start to schedule medical and psychological evaluations. This process takes approximately 2 weeks.

FINAL JOB OFFERS: LAXPD will extend final job offers to those candidates who qualify at each and every step of the selection process. If a candidate does not receive a conditional job offer the first time, their candidacy is reviewed, and they will remain under consideration for future hiring.
