I always wanted to be a police officer, but I got sidetracked. I was working as a draftsman for a design firm when my father, who works for Los Angeles World Airports, suggested I look into a job with the LAXPD.

I’ve been here for eight years now, and I’m Sergeant of the Emergency Services Unit. I’m responsible for coordinating training and supervising members of my team. Fortunately, I work with a good group of guys. They all work hard, so I don’t supervise too much.

Working at the airport is a unique experience. It’s a city unto itself, and it’s different every day. You can meet people from all over the world, and it’s great when you’re able to help them.
