I’m impressed with the amount of training LAXPD officers get. One of the important things we’re taught is what to do in a terrorist situation. You patrol an area where there are so many people, and you’re responsible. You have to know how to go about saving lives and saving your own life.
I work with a great group of people. And it’s nice that it’s a variety of people from all different ethnicities. About 40 of us came in at the same time, so we’re all learning on the job together. We help each other out.
One of the best things about working for the LAXPD is that there's a lot of potential for upward mobility. |
