But I love traveling, especially to places where I can shop. I get together with a group of my female officers and go on vacation each year. Some of my favorite places have been New York City and the Mall of America in Minnesota. My dream vacation would have to be relaxing in the Bahamas. And I think that’s where the girls will go this year!

I’ve been with the LAXPD for six years, and I work as a background investigator. I really enjoy my job, and I love my co-workers. We’re a very tight-knit group. I even like my boss! We joke around. We laugh.

Working at the airport is a learning experience. You get to meet people from a lot of different countries, and you learn the way they do things in other cultures.

One of the good things about working for the LAXPD is that you don’t have to stay in one unit. And when you find your niche, you can move up. In fact, I’m on the sergeant’s list.
